Quest Therapeutic Camps of Southern California
Summer Calendar 2016

We are currently restructuring our rock climbing group due to ClimbX needing to close for the time being since their building was sold. The current quarter's group will be a general group at the Central Library in Huntington Beach from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. Campers will have opportunities to build skills through games in the park, conversations time with each other, therapeutic activities designed for them, and time to complete group projects based on campers' interests that often include programming in areas such as video game making, drama, art, movie making, etc.

-Parent meetings are also held at the Central Library in Huntington Beach (7111 Talbert Ave.)
-Afternoon snack is provided daily. Children with special diets should bring their own snacks.
-Camp hours: 9am to 3:30pm, (Knott’s Berry Farm will be 5:00pm extended day), transportation provided to all events
-Beach days:  Bring a swim suit, towel and a rash guard is strongly recommended.
**Scheduled field trips and activities are subject to change due to weather and scheduling needs.

**Schedule varies based on camper age and group, but activities listed are to give an idea of a typical schedule (meaning the older group may have Quests on Monday and Soccer on Tuesday, while the Youngers campers may have a reversed schedule, but both will have Quests and Soccer in the week)

**Since the rock climbing gym was torn down in October I am not sure yet to what degree rock climbing might be on our summer schedule since there are several factors involved.  Boomers and the Ropes Course both have rock climbing as part of their activities present.

Quest Therapeutic Camps of Southern California
School Year Program

General Group is on Wednesdays from 5:30 to 7:30 at the Central Library in Huntington Beach.

School Year Therapy Group:
Ten-week afternoon therapeutic groups are designed to provide therapy by specifically targeting individualized goals for our campers. A minimum of one hour includes therapeutic activities that heavily target the development of social skills, emotion regulation, and positive behaviors, while the next hour focuses on further skill development by providing a variety of experiential activities as part of a group to create opportunities to observe the child in a natural setting and intervene to facilitate change. Groups include 5 individualized goals per camper and 2 parent meetings. Campers will have opportunities to build skills through game sin the park, conversation time with each other, therapeutic activities designed for them, and time to complete group projects based on campers' interests and often include programming in areas such as video game making, drama, art, movie making, etc.
